Fly to Lamezia Terme airport.
More and more tour operators and ‘low cost airlines’ are including Calabria in their programme every year, meaning the area is always becoming more accessible. Direct flights are available from an increasing number of counties from as far away as Canada.
As the number of destinations that fly to Lamezia is constatnly increasing to see an upto date list of ‘airlines and destinations’ please click here.
It is also possible to fly from a number of regional airports in your country to hubs like Milian, Rome and Bologna from where internal flights are available or Tropea can be reached by car/train. For example if you fly to Milan, in the peak summer months there is upto 10 daily flights to Lamezia.
A two centre holiday (city+beach) is also a possibility. For example fly very cheaply to Milan or Rome, stay for a night or two sampling what the cities have to offer before flying to Lamezia for a relaxing beach break.
What a truly fantastic place. I’d always recommend Marasusa Holiday Village.Miss J - Edinburgh
